Isabel Mary was born in September 1894, was called "Belle" and was a medal winner in the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm. She took third place in the diving competition, winning the bronze medal. (www.britishswimming.org).
The "Belle White Memorial Trophy" is named in her honour.
She married Thomas Louis Edwards, a motor engineer.
When her mother died in 1940 Belle was living at 35 Vincent Court, Hendon NW 4.
Belle died of congestive cardiac failure and broncho-pneumonia in 1972 at 11 Rookfield Close, Muswell Hill. The death was registered by Elizabeth K Gorer of 3 Fairway Close, Golders Green, N.W.11.
