He was baptised in Maldon St Mary on 21 May 1809 the son of James & Mary Ann Willingale.

Sarah Willingale his daughter aged 9, a scholar who was born in St Pancras
Lettice Willingale his daughter aged 5 who was born in St Pancras
Henry Willingale his son aged 10 months who was born in St Pancras
Simon Lees, brother in law aged 39 an unmarried coachsmith who was born in Clerkenwell.

James Willingale aged 64 a shoemaker who was born in Maldon, Essex
Esther Willingale his wife aged 61 who was born in Hampshire.
James died from chronic bronchitis on 18 December 1878, aged 69 years. His daughter L Alderton was present at the death.
