Notes for Robert James Wright

Known from Steve Bush's e-mail. He writes:-

My Uncle Bob, Robert James Jr., was born September 6, 1894 at Southend on
Sea. He was also a sign painter like his brother Harold. He was in the US Army in World War I, but never made it "over there", and conducted training for inductees. He married Ethel Webster Black, who he met in an Armistice Day parade. She was a dressmaker at an exclusive shop in Pittsburgh. They lived in the Wilkensburg part of Pittsburgh and had no children. She died July 28, 1978, and he died October 12, 1975. I remember him mostly as a big gentle man with very big strong hands - like my grandfather and his father.

1930 census
Robert Wright Jr., age 35, born England, owned home worth $7,000, age 24 when married, Occupation Sign Painter. Wife Ethel Wright, age 33, born Pennsylvania, age 22 when married, Occupation none. Roomer Gertrude Farmer(?) and William Douglas, nephew, 2 years [Eva's son].
