Dorothy Olive Wright remembers in August 1998 that her Grandfather Edwin James had a sister called Ann who had two daughters that were competitive swimmers. She lived in Barking at one time and taught elocution.

The following was learned in January 2003 from an email from Keith Nisbet. Annie had two daughters, Isabel Mary and Irene. Annie was married twice, firstly to a Charles Nathaniel White and then to a chap named Downes.

Annie died aged 75 of Myocardial degeneration and arterio sclerosis on 9 April 1940 at Little Heath House, Ilford. Her address at the time was 230 Ashburton Avenue, Ilford and she was the widow of John Downes, a piano traveller. Her death was registered by her daughter I. M. Edwards of 35 Vincent Court, Hendon.
