James was baptised at the same time as his brother Joseph, on 7 April 1805. They could be twins or were just baptised at the same time, as there is no mention of when they were actually born. Their parents were William & Elizabeth Savill.
James was in Orsett Union House in 1871, unmarried aged 69 and deaf.
James was buried in Orsett on 8 July 1874 aged 71.
