He was baptised in St Mary's church Little Thurrock on 5 July 1904.
Len was a keen cyclist and was a member of Goodmayes Wheelers. He won numerous medals and cups over the years.
In 1973 Len was involved in a collision with a car whilst out cycling and he later died in hospital from his injuries. An inquest was held on 5 December 1973, the verdict of which was accidental death.
